Positive Reviews
positive:
All about the location
For the vast majority of guests, Hotel Soft's location is a real draw. In addition to the Louvre, two of the city's major train stations - Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est - are within walking distance. The nearby bike hire facilities are a real plus for some, enabling them to see the city like a local.
positive:
Compact but comfortable
Guests commented that these rooms are small, but all things considered, that seemed to be a non-issue here. Despite the size of the rooms, many reported that the beds were extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep.
positive:
Extremely helpful and friendly staff
They speak multiple languages, they're open 24/7, they're great with kids and above all, many guests have repeatedly commented on the overall friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tiny breakfast not included
Hungry diners seem to have been left disappointed here. Breakfast is not included in the room rate and those who opted to purchase it were not impressed by either the quality or quantity of their meal. Many felt that better value and quality could be had in the restaurants and cafés nearby.
negative:
Stuffy rooms and parched throats
While some of the rooms do feature air conditioning, this is not a standard option at Hotel Soft. There are fans in every room, but for some, they did little to ease stuffy conditions. Those left parched by the heat faced a double disappointment as there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
negative:
Thin walls and noise
Despite the double glazed windows, many guests found that noise from nearby restaurants and bars filtered into the room. For others, noisy neighbors and thin walls were unfortunately an issue.
