Positive Reviews
positive:
Great Location & Value
This is a no frills, affordable accommodation with traditional charm, especially pleasant for visiting Catholics or Christians who might make use of the daily Mass and/or prayer chapel. (However, all faiths are welcome.) Excellent proximity to all attractions of Manhattan, this locale is in the Chelsea residential area, within walking distance to Chelsea Market, convenience stores, restaurants, and a subway station. Very clean with a dining area, an outdoor garden, and a small business room with a computer and seating for several guests. The daily on-site breakfast is offered for a fee; most have enjoyed it and found it worth the price.
positive:
Decent, Basic Rooms
Some found their rooms a bit small, but adequate for sleeping and bathing purposes. Cleaned daily, each room has beds, telephones, televisions and a crucifix. Some have shared toilets/shower facilities, but all have sinks in the room.
positive:
Efficient Staff
Although not all the staff are exceedingly friendly, they are always on the job early and hard-working for their guests.

Needs Renovation
This locale has apparently been undergoing some gradual refurbishments. However, some were still disappointed at the outdated decor and rundown amenities. No refrigerator, no coffee maker, iffy in-room Wi-Fi and rusted out plumbing fixtures.
negative:
Hot and Cold
Some found their rooms to be quite cold without any working heat. To make matters worse, some windows won't shut all the way. Some rooms were unbearably hot and humid, without any fans provided, and no rooms provide window A/C units until their June installation each year. Shower temperatures in some bathrooms also fluctuated dramatically, running from freezing to scalding quickly without any possibility of adjustment.
negative:
Noise Issues
Street-facing rooms have provided earplugs. Construction may be ongoing during business hours; if this might disturb you, call ahead to find out.
