Exterior of the building very run-down
A number of guests have commented that on approaching the Trip Hotel, they were very unimpressed. The building looks run-down and in need of some work, and some say it doesn't even look like a hotel from the outside. The parking lot is also said to be full of potholes.

Previous guests of the Trip Hotel Ithaca report that, while their rooms were nice, the communal areas of the hotel could do with updating. Some say that the carpets are worn and dirty, particularly in the hallways.

The age of the property doesn't help, along with reports that the outside door to the hotel isn't locked through the night.
