Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms afflicted with the smell of smoke
Although most have commented that it was not a problem, a notable amount of former visitors have criticised the smell of smoke at the Scala. This issue was mainly attributed to the hotel's policy of allowing smoking in all of their rooms.
negative:
Off-street parking is limited
It should be noted that the hotel only has a limited amount of on-site parking spaces. With that said, for previous guests that were unable to obtain an on-site space, it has been stated that there is typically plenty of street parking next to the accommodation.
negative:
Tight in terms of space
According to the feedback of a small amount of past visitors, some of the rooms at the Scala are not the most spacious. As a result, moving around the rooms in comfort can be hampered to an extent.
