Positive Reviews
positive:
Beautiful, remote, sheep & waterfront birdwatching
These cottages are apparently found in a wonderfully remote and breathtaking location, overlooking striking sea and hill landscapes on the edge of a fjord, only reachable by a long gravel road. Nature lovers truly felt like they were in the right place to relax and enjoy some peace and were happy to be able to spot a good range of local creatures, including sheep and a wide variety of birds down at the waterfront or nearby cliffs.
positive:
Simple and cosy historical cottages
People generally found the cottages to be warm and cosy, providing basic lodgings that had most of the necessities, including kitchen facilities that apparently sufficed for whipping up simple meals. Moreover, these apparently had some interesting historical background to read into, for those wanting to learn about this wild area.

Negative Reviews
negative:
No hot water, linen not free and expensive
People were often unhappy to find that there was no hot water available here — or showers in some units — and were similarly unimpressed when the staff charged them to use linen or threatened to charge extra if their unit was not clean at the end of the stay. Given these points and the apparently very simple standard of the accommodation, some people thought that a stay here was simply a bit too expensive.
negative:
Dodgy gravel road, staff too brusque for some
The gravel road guests had to navigate to reach these cottages was considered to be a bit dodgy and hair-raising according to some who traversed it, so keep this in mind if you are not confident in going off sealed roads. Moreover, the sheep farmers running these cottages are apparently hardworking sorts who can be a bit brusque in interactions, with some guests finding them to actually be rather rude.
