Experience The Beautiful Views From The Room.
For that superb view overlooking Torquay marina, it would be advisable for you to request rooms on the upper floors and preferably with a Seaview balcony. The views are truly fantastic according to former guests.
positive:
Picturesque location.
The Hotel Richmond is perfectly located, and is in easy walking distance to the beach and Torquay promenade. On a summer’s day, you’ll find this part of the English Riviera so picturesque whilst walking along the coastline soaking up the rays.

Choose Alternative Travel Arrangements.
You may want to call ahead to the Hotel Richmond and confirm whether parking will be available upon your arrival. Many have complained regarding the hotel having plenty of parking only to find out when they got there, only a few spaces are available and those were at a premium.
negative:
What’s that smell?.
Many guests have made remarks about lingering odours throughout this establishment; some say the bathrooms stank of mould whilst other parts of the hotel smelt of rotting corpse. The only saving grace was to stand in close proximity to a plugged in glade air freshener.
negative:
Not a great deal.
Guests have stated that you get what you pay for. Overall the place is grubby and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The place is run down and is in need of a complete refurbishment throughout. Some have said that they daren't eat breakfast there due to the general hygiene of the hotel.
