The resort is the only location in the GCC countries to feature the Thalassa Sea and Spa and there are many treatments to enjoy during a stay. Negative Reviews
negative:
Service can be slow.
Depending on the time of year you visit, the service at the Sofitel could be a bit slower than other times. The popularity of the resort does mean that there are more guests for the staff to manage, so peak travel times could result in slower service. If you need to be anywhere in particular at a certain time during these peak travel times, be sure to give yourself extra time.
negative:
Wi-Fi spotty.
If you’re staying at the hotel for business or you want to have consistent access to the Internet, you might find the connection speed a bit frustrating. If you do find yourself with limited access, speak to hotel staff about the issue or visit a neighbouring café for service.
negative:
Chain hotel.
While the Sofitel is a beautiful resort, the chain aspect might not appeal to some travellers who like more intimate or boutique accommodations.
