Positive Reviews
positive:
Walking distance to attractions, quiet spot.
Guests found Rembrandtplein to be within walking distance of most tourist attractions, as well as the train station, but was happily still away from the tourist crowds on a quiet street and nice canal. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and a supermarket were also found nearby to make up for lack of hotel food.
positive:
Clean and comfy.
The rooms here were found to be clean, tidy and had comfy beds and good Wi-Fi.
positive:
Knowledgeable and friendly reception.
Those who stayed found the reception staff to be very friendly and giving good, knowledgeable advice on what to see in the city.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Room rather outdated.
A fair number of those who stayed found the rooms at Rembrandtplein to have outdated decor, and a few also found the furnishings to be in need of maintenance.
negative:
Small rooms and bathrooms.
Some of the basic rooms were found to be too small for the tastes of some — which is fairly common for Amsterdam — while others found the bathrooms particularly cramped.
negative:
Narrow Dutch staircases.
The staircases here are typical for the Netherlands, and the steep, narrow flights may be tough for the less mobile, or those overburdened with luggage.
