Positive Reviews
positive:
Walking distance to popular spots.
Given that Reykjavik is not a huge city, the hotel's situation right in the centre of it allows guests to walk almost anywhere they could wish to go. There are numerous museums, art galleries, restaurants and shops nearby, in the downtown area.
positive:
SNAPS Bistro; excellent.
The bistro restaurant on-site is popular with both locals and tourists and bookings are highly recommended. Guests rave about the brunches served there and find the meals well-cooked and excellent quality in a relaxed setting.
positive:
Staff on-hand 24-hours a day.
With a 24-hour reception, staff are on-hand to assist whenever you may need them. Whether you wish to book tours, reserve tables in restaurants or arrange transport, they will be happy to help, with most guests describing them as polite and efficient.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Unreliable Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi in the hotel can be patchy and most find connecting to the rooms hard to do from guest rooms. If you can connect, it is likely you'll be restricted to basic functions such as checking emails.
negative:
Rooms on the small side.
Several previous guests have suggested that prices could be quite high considering the petite size of the rooms. Most, however, do agree that rooms are clean and comfortable; with modern, minimalist interiors, good bathrooms and great beds.
negative:
Better soundproofing required.
Guests staying in rooms at the front of the hotel may find themselves affected by noise from outside the hotel, particularly at weekends. Others speak of hearing noises from slamming doors in corridors to voices from neighbouring rooms.
