Positive Reviews
positive:
Very convenient location
The location of the hotel was by far what
guests most appreciated during their stay. The proximity of the interstate made
finding the hotel initially very easy and also great for when guests were
traveling to and fro. Many guests were pleased with the proximity to the University of Delaware.
positive:
Very low room rates
While guests did not directly bring up the subject of value for money, quite a few did say that the rates were very low indeed - one of the lowest in the area. They felt the hotel may be a reasonable bet if all a guest needed was a cheap roof over their head.
positive:
Decent breakfast
Most guests who mentioned the complimentary breakfast offered were quite happy with it, saying that, though it was simple, it was enough to get them off to a decent start.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Housekeeping exceptionally poor
By far the strongest complaints related to cleanliness. Guest after guest mentioned that their room was at the very least not clean enough to be occupied, at worst so bad they described it as “filthy”.
negative:
Poor reception staff
A number of guests felt that the reception staff were not up to scratch. They mentioned that they were at the very least uninterested, at worst actively rude. Guests were unhappy with the long list of unusual hotel rules and the way the staff communicated these to them, as well as what they said was their poor grasp of English.
negative:
Not enough parking
Guests were clearly unhappy with the onsite parking. They felt that the number of bays available were much too few for the number of guests, and found that they had to park in neighboring lots not owned by the hotel.
