Everyone, from management on down, focuses on promptly attending to requests, enquiries, and making changes whenever necessary to better fit your needs. They're helpful and polite, and treat all ages with the highest levels of respect and accommodation.
positive:
Rooms are elegant, cosy, and spotlessly maintained.
The Mandolay has the kind of rooms you wish you had in your own home. They're luxurious in colours, textures, and ambiance, and the beds provide a cosy sleep that leaves you so refreshed, you're reluctant to leave. Housekeeping is of the highest standards, from check-in and throughout your stay.
positive:
Fabulous menu selections to enhance the stay.
Menu offerings, from traditional British fare, to modern fusion, are praised for their portions, and expert attention to preparation and presentation. The afternoon teas are also a delight, as well as the ability to order food and drinks for your room at any hour.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Bathrooms and rooms are not as spacious as thought.
Space is a bit on the low side with the bathrooms and rooms. It feels cramped and smaller than expected, and can present some uncomfortability with moving around, with how much luggage you have, or with how many people are in your party.
negative:
It's frustrating that free car spaces are limited.
If you're not able to get one of the free car spaces, you have to pay a small charge for spots behind the building. It's irritating that for a luxury hotel, there's not more free space allotted for guests.
negative:
Would be better if the spa had pool facilities.
It's disappointing that the spa only offers body and facial treatments, and doesn't have a pool or sauna. Guests would prefer being able to relax in the water before or after spa services, or just as standalone options.
