Positive Reviews
positive:
True five star luxury.
Stunning, spectacular, breathtaking, and beautiful, were a few of the words guests used to describe this hotel. Even in the most basic rooms, guests felt that they were ensconced in a level of luxury not previously experienced.
positive:
Personal service.
You might feel like you are the only guest in the hotel, with individual concierge service and extra attentive staff. Guests found that staff anticipated their every need, and they appreciated details that were above and beyond, like a daily gift such as chocolates or fruit. Also of note was the efficient check-in, enabling guests to experience the world-class service that much sooner.
positive:
Delectable cuisine.
You might want to pack your stretchy pants for food that knocked the socks off of most guests. Generous portions and creative menus weren't a friend to the waistline, but taste buds couldn't be happier with buffet breakfasts and expertly prepared Shabbat meals.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Housekeeping has a way to go.
Some guests felt that the cleaning team at the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem had some room for improvement. When the hotel was at capacity, guests noticed a difference in service, and were sometimes unhappy with sloppy housekeeping that overlooked key details. Guests had high expectations for this luxury hotel, and sometimes found rooms to be cleaned to an unacceptable standard.
negative:
English issues.
A small number of guests found restaurant staff to be hard to communicate with in English. However, what staff lacked in language skills, was more than made up for by friendly demeanours and excellent service.
negative:
Bigger gym please.
A few fitness fanatics commented that the gym could have had more equipment, but it was a minor complaint for an otherwise memorable visit.
