The Gedenksatte Berliner Mauer nearby, five-minutes from the Berlin main station, offers two movies about the history of the wall if you are interested in that sort of thing. The Hackechter Market is ten-minutes away and Sunday flea markets are within easy reach. If hunger hits you while you are out, the Alexanderplatz is a great area to stop and have a quick bite to eat and people watch.
