Positive Reviews
positive:
Extensive facilities and activities
This is what guests seem to most appreciate about this resort. It is very big indeed, and as a result can offer a wide range of activities and facilities. Considering that many guests were there to view the coral reefs, the dive centre right out front was often mentioned as a highlight.
positive:
Great animation team
Whatever individual complaints guests may have had, they all seemed to hold the animation team in high regard. They were described as professional and entertaining, with a great ability to engage the crowd.
positive:
Great GM and senior hotel staff
Considering the enormous size of the resort, quite a few guests commented that the GM and his senior team were remarkably hands on. They speak of their complaints being addressed directly by the GM, and of him being very accessible.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some cleanliness issues in the restaurants
There are 14 restaurants on-site, so it's possible that this does not apply to all, but several guests mention that the restaurant they ate in was not cleaned properly. They speak of dirt under the tables, and elsewhere. It gave them an uncomfortable feeling that if the front of house was in such a state, the kitchen was unlikely to be better.
negative:
Restaurants sometime like being in a scrum
This is a very widespread observation. So many guests speak of a very bad atmosphere in the buffet restaurants, with guests running here and there and generally being pushy and uncouth.

Questions regarding 5* rating
There were quite a number of guests who questioned the resorts five star rating. It wasn't necessarily that they thought the resort was awful, just that the sort of obsessive attention to detail and refinement they expected of a five start resort was nowhere in evidence.
