Positive Reviews
positive:
Property has the “wow” factor
Guests report that staying at the Victorian is like stepping back in time. Think authentic decor, rich velvet materials and tasselled lamps, not to mention an impressive collection of portraits of Queen Victoria. This unique B&B has a real “wow” factor and offers the kind of stay that you're unlikely to forget in a hurry.
positive:
Clean and comfortable rooms
The rooms in this B&B are not quite as ostentatious as the remainder of the property but guests are impressed nonetheless, often describing them as clean and comfortable. There's a distinct absence of mod cons (not a TV in sight) but this doesn't seem to bother guests one bit.
positive:
Warm and welcoming host
Guests are consistently complimentary about the standard of service offered at the Victorian. Harold, the host, is a retired English butler and certainly seems to have a fascinating story or two to share. Plus, he's clued up about the local area and a fabulous cook to boot. It's top marks all round for this host!
