Positive Reviews
positive:
So many conveniences
The hotel has so many conveniences that you'll never have to leave the grounds. Massage services and a spa are onsite and, for those seeking activity, there is a golf course and pro shop. There are several restaurants and bars, as well as two pools. Guests can be as busy as they want and never have to move their car.
positive:
Great price for comfort
The rooms are older, but very comfortable and the stay provides a good value at a great price in this expensive, touristy area. The baths and rooms are spacious and many even have patios or balconies for private use.
positive:
Should you want to leave
While there is enough onsite to keep you fully occupied, don't waste the opportunity to walk into the charming town of Cape Cod. The Main Street area has plenty of museums and restaurants. Beaches are within walking distance and Melody Tent is right across the street where guests can go for concerts and shows.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Faded glory
The hotel has been around a long time and really shows that age. The whole place could use a facelift. The common areas and hallways feel dark and old-fashioned, instead of quaint and charming.
negative:
Musty and dusty
The hotel has a distinctive musty and mildew smell throughout, from the hallways to the common areas and even inside the rooms. The hotel is aware and does have humidifiers placed around, even in guest rooms, which can be loud and bothersome. In other rooms, the air conditioning unit does help with the musty feel, but that unpleasant smell remains.
negative:
Juding a book by the cover would be a mistake
The hotel looks much better on the outside than it does on the inside. The exterior appearance is one of grandeur and luxury. However, the inside rooms feel more like an economy choice.
