Previous guests have found the Oakland Guest House clean and comfortable throughout, often particularly appreciative of the shared spaces and the extra touches such as the DVD library. There's nothing to suggest that you won't relax and feel at home here.

Janine and Mark, owners and hosts, seem to be a friendly couple for whom nothing is too much trouble. As a result, guests have felt very welcome here and this is evidenced in reviews where guests frequently point out ways in which the hosts have offered great service.

Although a handful of guests would have preferred to be a little closer to the town centre, most appreciated being away from the busiest part of Blackpool. The tram stop is nearby so you can reach the town's major attractions easily.

Although it doesn't seem to have been a big problem for past guests, some do mention the lack of on-site breakfast. That said, guests appreciate the discount available for a local cafe and like being able to eat brought-in food in the property's dining room.

Several guests highlight that parking can be a bit of an issue, mentioning that they were sometimes forced to park a fair way from the property. Those guests who arrived later in the evening found it took them a long time to find a space.

It's unlikely that this property will be suitable for people with mobility issues since rooms are located up two flights of stairs. Also, as stated, guests may not be able to park nearby.
