Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms dated and distressed.
Some guests have complained that the rooms at the Tam O’ Shanter are dated when it comes to their appearance. Not only that, but the furnishings and appliances are in less than ideal condition.
negative:
Cleanliness issues.
A number of visitors have condemned the overall cleanliness of the guest house. Visible dust was a common problem for past guests, while the en-suite space and carpets were also noted for harbouring unwanted stains and dirt.
negative:
No licensed bar.
Although the guest house previously had a licensed bar, this is not the case any longer. This means that you cannot buy any alcoholic beverages from the premises. With that said, you are free to bring your own drinks and enjoy them in the lounge.
