This hotel is not without its problems but it does at least offer budget-friendly rooms with a considerate selection of free facilities and amenities. You won't need to find extra cash for breakfast, parking, or Wi-Fi, although you will need to allow room in your budget to pay the (refundable) deposit).

Polite staff
Most guests found the staff at the Super 8 Austin North University Area were polite and friendly. There seems to be occasional problems with reservations and room allocation but these are typically resolved quickly.

While not exactly within touching distance of Austin attractions, nothing is too far away to cause much of a concern. In fact, pretty much everything in the area is within a short driving distance of the hotel.

Mixed opinions of rooms
Guest rooms at the hotel attract both positive and negative comments. Many guests found the rooms were clean but the beds were uncomfortable. Some described the rooms as spacious while others thought they were way too small. Plus, a number of guests had problems with the Wi-Fi. It does seem to be pot luck as to whether you find the rooms acceptable.

Several guests mention that noise is a concern at this property. The bulk of the disturbance appears to come from the sound of traffic passing along the nearby highway, but there are also some internal noise concerns to deal with too.

A number of guests found the neighborhood in which this hotel is located a little off-putting. Some thought there was too many sketchy characters hanging around while other guests claim that drug deals take place in plain sight on a regular basis.
