The hotel is well placed to access the University of Oregon which is a 12-minute walk away. For concert goers the Matthew Knight Arena can be reached within 25-minutes' walk. A variety of restaurants and shopping areas, including Eugene's Fifth Street Public Market, are within easy walking distance of the hotel. Other local attractions include the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts which is 5-minutes' walk away, and the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art which is 15-minutes' walk away.

Guests commented that the hotel was good value for money. The rooms were reportedly well presented and clean with comfortable beds. Modern conveniences of a fridge, microwave and coffee maker with complimentary coffee are supplied in the room. A complimentary breakfast is offered which includes hot dishes as well as a variety of fruits, yogurts, cereals, waffles and muffins.

The staff are reportedly warm, friendly and approachable. You can expect the staff to greet you with a smile, to answer all your questions as well as to give recommendations on sites to visit and how to best get there.

Some guests felt that the furnishings needed to be updated. The furnishings were described as out dated, and in some cases the couches were found to be worn and stained. The carpets were also reportedly stained and dirty.

Parking is at a nearby location, however some guests found that it was difficult to find parking at times due to the limited number of car park spaces.

Some guests reported being woken in the night by trains passing through the nearby train station.
