While there were one or two contrary opinions, most guests had nothing but good things to say about the hotel's staff members. They were said to be very welcoming on arrival, and more than willing to help guests out in any way they could.
A couple of guests were quite surprised by just how quite the area immediately surrounding the hotel was. It is relatively central, and close to the sea, but seems to be in an area that does not attract a lot of cars speeding by or revellers causing a disturbance.
A surprisingly large number of guests mentioned that they were expecting an outdoor pool in addition to the indoor one at the spa, but when they arrived discovered that there was only the indoor pool. It was unclear why they were expecting an outdoor pool as well, but it seems that some secondary marketing materials incorrectly state that the hotel has an outdoor pool when it does not.
Though not often mentioned a couple of guests did say that the hotel really looked a bit old. Not in a charming classic way, but rather in a way that gave them the impression the owners were delaying renovating for as long as they possibly could.
While not that unusual, guests were nonetheless disappointed to discover they needed to pay extra to use facilities such as the sauna and Turkish bath.
