Hotel Playas Paguera (Paguera, Spain)

The proximity to the beaches of Paguera was by far what guests most enjoyed about their stay at the hotel. The beaches are described as barely 100 yards away, and particularly lovely.

Guests seemed pleased that they didn't have far to walk to get to some great little places to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The facilities of Paguera were said to be well within walking distance, and guests certainly didn't feel they were stuck at a remote hotel with nowhere interesting to go.

It appears that the hotel's room renovation project had been completed by March 2016. Guests seemed to be impressed with the updated décor and facilities, and were happy to experience that “new room smell”.

Unfortunately it seems that the hotel is in the habit of chronically overbooking their rooms. Several guests mention booking a room at the hotel in good faith, but on arrival they were told that no room was available, and moved to another hotel. Most were quite unhappy, so presumably the new hotel was of a worse standard than Playas Paguera.

Guests were generally unhappy with the extra charges levied for things like mini-fridges, in-room safes and most of all Wi-Fi. They believed that all of these, perhaps with the exception of the safe, should be included in the room rate, and it gave them the impression the management were unfairly trying to make extra money off of them.

While there were some who liked it, the majority did not think very highly of the breakfast. Guests said it had few options to begin with, and these were not varied at all during their stay.
