Negative Reviews
negative:
Light sleepers faced obstacles
From roosting pigeons outside the window to street cleaning crews doing their early morning rounds, some guests were kept awake when trying to sleep. There were also reports of some guests finding the walls a bit thin enabling them to hear their neighbors. If you're a light sleeper perhaps try asking for a room not facing the street.
negative:
Some felt rooms were small with aging features
Some of those staying in standard single rooms described them as not very spacious and lacking natural light at times. Some en suite bathrooms were also criticized for being too bijou. Some minor maintenance issues were reported such as non-functioning air-conditioning or occasional frustrations with Wi-Fi.
negative:
Car parking woes
Motorists were often frustrated finding parking near the hotel. In a bid to keep historic central Florence spick and span, there's an extensive traffic control zone which limits vehicle access. If you're driving, the hotel can advise on parking with a minimum of fuss. A few guests warned that their cars were towed away for failing to observe strict parking rules.
