Hotel Peñiscola Palace (Peñíscola, Spain)

Guests spoke highly of the great location, which was quiet despite being on a main street. Amazing sea views, and a far reaching panorama of the fortress were a delight to wake up to or unwind with on the furnished patio.

Both the pool and the guest rooms were well taken care of. It was a pleasure to go for a swim in the swimming pool that was maintained daily, and there were no complaints about spick and span guest quarters.

It seems that Peñíscola Palace has made great strides in the kitchen. While a few bad reviews exist from guests visiting years ago, hotel meals are now usually consumed with gusto. A particular highlight is the great breakfast with things like made to order omelettes, and dinner was also a lip smacking affair with lots of fresh seafood and typical Valencian dishes.

Entertainment noise levels were bothersome to some. While nightly festivities didn't usually go until too late, some guests thought that the volume should have been turned down.

If you like your bed on the firm side, then you will feel right at home here. A few guests found that mattresses weren't to their liking, and wished for a softer place to sleep at night.

A few guests thought that certain amenities should have been included in the price of a room. Having the use of an electronic safe was great, but not the additional fee associated with it. The same went for parking, which was found to be expensive, especially considering that finding a spot was sometimes a challenge.
