Hotel Novotel München City Arnulfpark (Munich, Germany)

Guests generally like the hotel's location west of the city centre, noting that there is a tram line within a five-minute walk, and an S-Bahn station about ten minutes away on foot. The S-Bahn offers speedy, direct connections to Marienplatz (7 minutes) and the airport (30 minutes). Healthy travellers can walk downtown and to the museum district in about 25 minutes, or to Oktoberfest in about the same time.

The hotel opened in 2015, and guests describe the overall look and feel of the building as new, modern, and trendy. Families love the kids area in the lobby, which offers a gaming area and half-pipe ping pong table. Though the standard rooms are also widely considered comfortable, the Superior rooms may be worth the upgrade for additional elbow room, as well as the complimentary minibar and Nespresso machine. The good selection of English language channels on the large flat-screen tvs is a big plus for international guests.

The front desk staff earn many positive reviews for their friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service. Compliments also go to the chef on the plentiful breakfast buffet.

The standard rooms are widely described as a bit small, especially for couples or families.  Some travellers also find the twin-sized beds to be uncomfortably cosy, too.

Problems with the air-conditioning have been reported, though the issue is currently being addressed. The windows do open part-way, but road noise can come in with the fresh air.

Though reviews of the hotel and its staff are largely positive, disappointed guests have reported housekeeping oversights, long waits at the lobby bar, and unaccommodating personnel.
