About Montefran Apartamentos Las Tejas
Situated in a prime spot on the beach, right opposite its activity centre, Montefran Apartementos Las Tejas offers self catering accommodation with views over the Atlantic.
The rooms are modestly furnished and decorated, and feature tiled floors to help with cooling, separate sleeping and lounge/dining areas, TV, in-room safe, fully equipped kitchen and private balcony with view.
The star attraction is undoubtedly the small pool courtyard. While it has no sea view it does have the usual sun loungers and umbrellas front and centre. There is parking available on-site and free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout.
While there are no restaurants on-site, those who are not self catering will find many dining options in the beach centre opposite, as well as in nearby hotels.
The beach right out front must be the top attraction, but those looking further afield will find the incredible extinct volcano of Caldera de Bandana 33 miles to the north.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific beachfront location
While guests did, unfortunately, have several issues with the apartments, location certainly wasn't one of them. The complex is right on the beach, and guests loved simply being able to walk across the road and being on what was probably the object of their holiday all along.
positive:
Nice views from the apartments
Guests mentioned that all but the apartments on the ground floor have very lovely views over the complex's walls to the endless Atlantic beyond.
positive:
Free parking
While there is parking on-site as well, guests mentioned that there is free parking across the road as well. While it certainly can't be guaranteed, they mentioned that they never had a problem getting a spot there.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Locked out when trying to check-in
A simply astonishing number of guests mention being locked out of the complex when trying to check-in. It seems there is no permanent staff on site, and since the property is locked up it meant they had to stand outside and phone management to get their keys.
negative:
Apartments not well equipped
Several guests mentioned that the apartments are very basic. Not just in terms of furniture and décor, but more importantly in equipment as well. They speak of several very basic pieces of kitchen equipment simply not being there.
negative:
Very poor Wi-Fi
While guests appreciated having WiFi, it was described as very frustrating to use. Guests speak about often being logged of for no reason and then having to physically log in again with password and so on. It would simply refuse to remember previous login details.
