Negative Reviews
negative:
Location not ideal for exploring Budapest
Based on the general feedback of former visitors, the location of the Hotel Mediterran is arguably its biggest disadvantage. The hotel is positioned some distance from the Budapest city centre, with it approximately 30 minutes away on foot.
negative:
Room soundproofing not the greatest
Noise was a somewhat regular annoyance for previous guests of the hotel. It has been claimed that the soundproofing of the rooms is far from the best, which has resulted in noise from the nearby main road becoming a disruption on occasion.
negative:
Dated rooms in need of attention
Although refurbishments have recently taken place, some areas of the rooms at the Hotel Mediterran still need some revitalisation - according to the opinion of numerous past visitors. In particular, the en-suite bathrooms were described as dated at times.
