Hotel Marina (Puerto de Sóller, Spain)

The breakfast buffet has lots of variety and the food has been mentioned by previous guests as being of a good standard. Guests feel that it delivers excellent value for money.

The hotel is located directly on the beachfront in Puerto de Soller meaning that in less than a minute you can be sunbathing or swimming in the sea. You can choose from a sea view or mountain views, many have a small balcony where you can enjoy the beautiful vistas. There are several shops, bars, cafes and restaurants within easy walk distance.

The staff are a credit to the hotel and work extremely hard to make sure the hotel is maintained to a high standard. Staff are efficient, friendly, welcoming and approachable.

The hotel offers live music on an evening as entertainment. The majority of guests who have commented on the entertainment feel that this is an area that needs to be improved as the quality is very poor. Ironically some have said that it is so bad that this actually makes it quite entertaining.

The staff have received lots of positive feedback with guests feeling strongly that this is one of the strengths of the hotel. However there is a recurring theme within the reviews that there have been incidences of rudeness from staff. This includes confrontations in the dining room over trivial matters. It is not clear whether this is one member of staff in particular or an issue in general.

Some previous guests have said that the pool area is not big enough and there aren’t enough sun loungers. Other guests will also reserve loungers early and the hotel doesn’t enforce the no reservation rule.
