Hotel Mantra Legends (Surfers Paradise, Australia)

The most popular thing to do at the hotel according to reviewers was to hangout on the balcony and have a drink at the end of a hard day at the beach or sightseeing and watch the sun go down over the ocean. The balcony area and the expansive views, was for most the highlight of their stay.

The location is very central in Surfers Paradise and many visitors thought that the convenience of being able to roll out of bed and walk 200 metres to the waters' edge was the best part of their holiday. The shops on Cavil and Orchard Avenue are also on the doorstep of the hotel.

The staff at the hotel rated really highly across reviews with many previous guests appreciating their friendly service. It seems that nothing was too much trouble for the staff who went out of their way to ensure that their guests had a pleasant time.

Both the breakfast and dinner buffets did not fare well in comments about the hotel. Many people especially thought that the breakfast was disappointing as it had a limited selection of food with dubious quality.

Guests who are perhaps used to a five star experience elsewhere were not at all impressed by the state of the furniture and fixtures in the hotel leaving comments that they felt that the hotel was a little worn out and could use updating.  A common complaint was that the carpets were especially foul.

Guests encountered a number of unidentifiable odours during the course of their stay which they felt obliged to right about in their reviews. It seems that mould was most likely the culprit with guests suggesting that the bathrooms could use a deep clean.
