About Likya Residence & Spa
Set in a commanding position with endless views over the Mediterranean, Likya Residence & Spa offers tranquil accommodation to guests looking for the ultimate escape.
All rooms are exceptionally spacious and have lovely rustic touches, while still being supremely modern. Each features private balcony, flat screen TV, dressing table and telephone.
Likya has a lovely outdoor pool and terrace with the usual sun loungers and poolside café, as well as a separate infinity pool that seems to be an extension of the Mediterranean. There is an extensive spa area with Turkish bath and a range of treatments available.
All meals are served out on the terrace if at all possible, and feature a unique blend of Turkish and international fare.
The main attraction is undoubtedly the exquisite site itself, but guests will find the small craft harbour just 700 yards away, and lovely Kaputas Beach just a little further.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Exceptional views from the property
Likya Residence is built right on the slopes of a steep hill, and the architects and builders hard work has resulted in a property that has exquisite views out over the Mediterranean. Guests spoke about being able to just sit on the terrace, gaze out over the sea and be perfectly at peace.
positive:
Truly exceptional staff
Again and again guests mentioned that the staff were simply exceptional. They were described as friendly and helpful, of course, but it seemed to be their fine attention to detail that was most appreciated.
positive:
Very spacious rooms
The rooms in general were very highly rated by guests. They seemed to like the understated décor, and had all the facilities they needed. But many did single put the spaciousness as being particularly noteworthy, saying they had more than enough room for the size of their party.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tricky path down to the beach
Firstly, it was very hard to find any substantive negative comments. One fairly minor point brought up was that the hotel is located at a bit of an elevation, and the path down to their seaside beach club could be a bit tricky. Those with mobility issues may not be comfortable tackling it.
negative:
Very expensive room-rates
While the question of value for money was not really brought up, several guests mentioned that they considered the room-rates very high. While they did enjoy the property and its facilities, they were uncertain whether they should have paid that much for a hotel room.
negative:
A bit too far to town for some
While Kalkan's town centre is within walking distance, it was a bit too far for some guests liking, and they felt just a little isolated at Likya.
