About Lift House Lodge
Situated in the best possible spot in Vail, right at the base of the mountain, Lifthouse Condominiums offers comfortable self-catering accommodation close to the slopes and après-ski.
The suites are simply furnished and decorated. Each features separate bedroom, Living/dining room with sofa bed, small kitchenette, Wi-Fi, cable TV and a fireplace.
After a day on the slopes you can safely store your gear in the storage room and go and heat your toes in the 12 person hot tub. The entire facility is non-smoking and a limited number of rooms can accommodate those with pets.
Bart and Yeti’s is one of Vail’s oldest restaurants and a firm favorite among travelers and locals alike. It serves a blend of American and Mexican cuisine.
For winter travelers there’s really only one attraction – the slopes. These can be reached via a gondola and high speed chair that is mere steps away from Lifthouse.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable location
Guests stated that they really weren’t exaggerating when they said Lifthouse was in the most perfect spot. One of Vail’s main gondola’s is just steps from the front door, so guests didn’t have to traipse through half the village before being whisked up the mountain to a powder filled paradise.
positive:
Terrific value for money
Guest after guest mentioned how astonished they were with the room rate they received. They felt that they received very decent accommodation in an incredibly convenient location in return for a modest fee, resulting in excellent value for money.
positive:
Multiple return visitors
The most important positive feature actually was not directly related to the accommodation at all. In the reviews, many guests mentioned in passing that they had been returning to Lifthouse year after year, which is of course the biggest compliment possible.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Outdoor parking
Guests mentioned that the hotel doesn’t have any underground parking onsite, and that the parking lot where they could park for free is in the open air. Of course this created problems with having to brush off snow and ice from their car when they would really rather have just got going.
negative:
Suites are very small
Guests mentioned that the suites are pretty much as small as they can be, while still fitting in all the amenities. Those who liked their space did feel a bit cramped in the suite, causing them to spend much of their time out and about.
negative:
Decor a bit dated
This was perhaps the most common compliant. Several guests mentioned that the décor looked especially dated. The feeling was that it had not been updated since the 80’s.
