positive:
There's lots nearby.
Prospect Park is close to the property and there are plenty of nice shops and places to eat in the immediate vicinity. If you want to venture further afield, then public transport is good, with the subway to Manhattan a five-minute walk away.
positive:
Clean and tidy.
Public areas and guestrooms show a pleasingly high level of cleanliness. Everything is well presented and immaculately tidy too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some expected noise.
The hotel is generally pretty quiet, but one unavoidable problem is the fact that floorboards creak quite a lot. Considering the property was built in the 1800s, there's not a huge amount that can be done about it. Some of the beds make a bit of noise too
negative:
Weak Wi-Fi.
The free internet is hit and miss, depending on where you are trying to access it. It is strong and fast in the lobby but gets much weaker if your room is positioned on the top floor.
negative:
Prepare to share.
You may have to share a bathroom with other guests, which obviously isn't as convenient as having your own private one.
