Positive Reviews
positive:
Pretty quite location
While some don't like that it is a bit of a walk to the beach, this suited others just fine. In their minds this resulted in a quieter environment all around, so they never really had trouble sleeping at night. They were happy to walk to the beach when needed.
positive:
Good value for money
The question of value for money was brought up quite frequently, with the overwhelming majority of guests saying that they thought they received very good value. They acknowledged that they had paid a fairly low room-rate for fairly ordinary accommodation, and that is what they got.
positive:
Kind and accommodating staff
While reviews were a little mixed, most guests spoke very highly of the staff, saying they were friendly, welcoming and willing to try to help them when necessary.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Further from beach than expected
Interestingly, a couple of guests mention that the hotel was further from the beach than they had expected, perhaps because of the word “Andaman” in the name. But it is about a 10-minute walk to the beach, so guests wanting to be right on it will be disappointed.
negative:
Some serious maintenance issues
Based on a few guest comments it seems ongoing maintenance at the hotel is lacking, resulting in broken fixtures, and even dangerous situations. It was mentioned that one of the balcony railings looked like it was rotting away, and might very well give way if much pressure was applied to it.
negative:
Weak water pressure
Quite a few guests pointed out that the water pressure was so low that it made for a very uncomfortable shower. Since the complaint wasn't exactly universal it may be that some rooms are more affected than others, so guests could always ask to switch rooms if this is an issue.
