Positive Reviews
positive:
Reasonable Room Rates
When all factors are taken into consideration: excellent location, friendly staff, great breakfast, adequate rooms, free Wi-Fi, etc. then the room rates in comparison to other hotels in the surrounds are exceptionally good and are a cause of many a guest to vow to return.
positive:
Lovely Location
This hotel is perfectly placed for tourists to get the most from their city break. Concert goers love the proximity to the 02 Arena, while those travelling further love the closeness of the underground. An abundance of bars, restaurants and cafes are reachable on foot through safe streets.
positive:
Breakfast Bonanza
The traditional English breakfast comes highly recommended by many. Served between 6 and 9 each morning, the made-to-order menu features all the hot items you'd expect, as well as fruits and yoghurts for those that don't fancy the full array. Breakfast staff receive special mention for their hospitality.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Confusing Layout
The hotel is set across two buildings in separate locations. This has been the cause of some confusion amongst arrivals who find the process of checking in at one place only to be sent off to another quite strange. The problem is worse when the weather is bad.
negative:
Earplugs Essential
A number of reviewers have experienced problems from noise. Thin walls and doors mean that sounds from other guests and the street are often audible. Basement accommodations are slightly quieter during the night, but are below the breakfast room, so get very noisy from about 6 am onwards.
negative:
Trying Temperatures
The lack of climate control in rooms annoys many. Assuming most guests are out of a day, the heat is turned down or off, leaving some to shiver in their rooms, while at night, temperatures are so high that reviewers equate it to sleeping in a sauna.
