Positive Reviews
positive:
In a good location.
Guests said that this hotel was nicely situated for quick access to Montmartre and Stade de France. There were also several bus stops out front, and in terms of transportation links, guests thought that this hotel was a winner. Further afield, the Eiffel Tower could be reached in about 45 minutes with a combination of public transportation and walking.
positive:
Exceptional staff.
By all accounts, staff were friendly and polite. Guests discovered that most hotel personnel spoke English, and that they were very responsive when questions or problems arose.
positive:
The price is right.
Guests looking for a cheap place to lay their heads came to the right place. While basic, budget-friendly accommodation proved to be affordable, allowing guests to save money for the rest of the sights in Paris.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Nowhere to go but up.
Many guests found it awkward to negotiate the narrow staircase with heavy luggage. If stairs make you cringe, this might not be the best hotel for you.
negative:
A few issues.
Guests had a litany of complaints about sub-standard accommodation. While some were able to overlook issues because of the price, others simply couldn't turn a blind eye to questionable housekeeping, stained blankets, and noise that easily travelled through walls. Guests also weren't thrilled with the somewhat shady neighbourhood, and if you're looking for a picturesque, tree-lined Parisian street, you might need to go elsewhere.
negative:
Too hot or too cold.
The heating system couldn't seem to make up its mind here. Guests were unable to individually control the thermostat, which often resulted in rooms being boiling hot or freezing cold. You might want to bring an extra layer of warm clothes if your stay coincides with the winter months.
