    The Hotel Habitel Select is a five star hotel, conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown Bogota and only a matter of yards from El Dorado International Airport. Room and suite choices are decorated in classic style. They feature free Wi-Fi, LCD TV, iPod dock and minibar. Accommodation is soundproofed and includes a thermal mattress, quality bedding, blackout curtains, pillow menu and iron/board. Suites have a living area with pull-out sofa. The Hotel Habitel Select has a state of the art gymnasium and a spa with moon baths, massage and beauty treatments. The airport shuttle is free of charge. A complimentary breakfast buffet is served. Later, imaginative national and international flavoured cuisine features in menus at the two on-site restaurants; La Tiendita and Manduka. A  variety of drinks is served in the bar. It is a 20-minute car journey to the shopping mall of Corferias and to the city centre’s Simon Bolivar Park.

    It's the business!

    This is a lovely hotel, but not ideally suited to tourism. Business visitors will love its amenities and nearness to the airport but, for others, it's too far from attractions in the downtown area.

    Impressive features.

    Rooms are very ‘swish', very modern; but comfortable and relaxing at the same time. Touches of quality are to be found in all areas and highlighted by the super bed linen and accessories. Only the most demanding guest will expect more than is offered here.

    Nice freebies.

    The breakfast buffet is impressive and provides an excellent start to any day. ‘So near and yet so far'… that applies to the airport. It's only a few hundred yards away but what a welcome bonus is the hotel's free shuttle. It operates every 15 minutes and on a 24-hour basis. This excellent, free service is a real benefit for hotel guests.

    Five-star food … and prices

    It's a pity that having invested heavily in your stay here, there are further, rather excessive demands in the restaurants and on your budget. (*Lunch here is inferior to dinner!) Neighbouring alternative restaurants include Bennigans (American theme) and El Ingles. Maybe it would be a good idea to release the strangle hold on your wallet ...and try one of these!

    Staff attitudes.

    Most of the time everything is OK; it's just sometimes that they don't seem to be focused on offering customer service that is of the same caliber as the hotel itself.

    Breakfast is free, but if you order it as part of room service, they whack a not inconsiderable price on it. Surely they can think of less annoying ways to create a profit!
