Positive Reviews
positive:
Shopping heaven.
With its 'Golden Triangle' location on a quiet street between Avenue des Champs-Élysée and Avenue Montaigne, the hotel's location is a shoppers paradise. A huge selection of high-end brands can be found minutes away, from Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel and Valentino to Ralph Lauren and Bulgari.
positive:
Professional, discrete staff.
Previous guests have been highly complimentary of the friendly yet professional service provided by the team at Marignan; anticipatory, but never intrusive. Porters are likely to greet you with “welcome home” on arrival, and this sets the tone for the service you are likely to receive for the rest of your stay.
positive:
Beautifully designed.
The hotel is a sleek, modern space full of understated elegance. You'll love the monochrome bar with unusual bear chairs and the luxurious rooms. Egyptian-cotton linen, huge baths and Clarins products complete the look.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some rooms smaller and darker than others.
Guest rooms vary, however, previous guests have remarked that courtyard-facing rooms are darker than most. For some, this is a positive rather than a negative though; with light conditions conducive to a great nights sleep. As with most hotels in Paris, room sizes may be more compact than you're used to.
negative:
Expensive breakfast.
Breakfast is an additional charge and some find it inadequate for the price paid. If you decide to opt-out there are plenty of cafes nearby to grab something lighter for considerably less.
negative:
Very limited parking.
With just one parking space available, if you're planning a stay at the Marignan and are planning to bring a vehicle, ensure you book well in advance. Even with advance notice, with 45 rooms and 5 suites in the building, the chances of securing the spot are slim.
