Positive Reviews
positive:
Female guest's only floor
A number of female travellers felt this was a great idea. It is not uncommon in Japan, and the ladies appreciated the added beauty and other amenities available in these rooms. They felt it was more than merely a marketing gimmick.
positive:
Excellent central location
Guests really could not have been happier with the location of the hotel. They had clearly booked this hotel, at least in part, because of its location and they were certainly not disappointed. They reported that it was close to Shinjuku Station and all the streetlife, nightlife and shopping the area is known for.
positive:
Great décor and design
While many guests did have an issue with the room size, most conceded that they were exceptionally well designed. Given the limited space available it did not seem that they would have made any changes to the design. Most also appreciated the décor, which they described as having a calming effect.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Extremely small rooms
While guests understood they were in one of the most popular areas of a very, very crowded city, and could hardly expect massive rooms, they found that the rooms were so small that they sometimes caused discomfort. Curiously, several went on to say that the bathrooms were actually quite spacious. They felt the bathrooms took up a bit too much space.
negative:
Not many TV channels
Several guests complain that there were very few channels available in any language, let alone in their own. There were said to be only one or two English channels, leaving English speaking guest with almost nothing to watch on the TV.
negative:
Scared by Godzilla
It seems that the hotel has entered into a licensing agreement with the creators of the Godzilla movies with many rooms having massive Godzilla murals. These weren't to everyone's taste.
