Positive Reviews
positive:
Kids stay free
The resort has a very family-friendly environment with activities for kids of all ages both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season. Furthermore, the rooms and suites are of varying size and layout to suit any group's needs and children younger than age twelve stay for free on existing beds. Cribs for infants are available on request.
positive:
Great mountain views
Many of the rooms as well as the restaurants and swimming pools enjoy majestic views of the Garden of the Gods rock formations, Pikes Peak or the on-site golf course itself. The rustic feel of the surroundings is also translated to the interior décor.
positive:
Located close to so much outdoor activity
As if the resort itself didn't offer enough to see and do, no more than a half-hour drive away are places to enjoy hiking, white-water rafting, horseriding and various historical and tourist sites such as the Air Force Academy or the old mining towns nearby.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Note the dress code at the restaurant
Although the resort will likely attract many lovers of the outdoors who might spend the day hiking, sighteeing, etc., it is also worth noting that there is more of a country club set-up in parts of the hotel, for example the main restaurant. Guests are required to come dressed semi-formal, particularly for dinner. The Grille restaurant is a little more relaxed, though.
negative:
Wi-Fi in rooms sometimes weak
Certain rooms may experience a weak internet or even cell phone signal given the location in a mountainous region, however the Wi-Fi in public areas is generally quite good.
negative:
Overall great services and facilities
Generally, the resort is well presented with something for everyone in terms of accommodation as well as tastes in dining and recreational activities. The views over the Garden of the Gods are unbeatable as well.
