Negative Reviews
negative:
So Stuffy
There is no air conditioning in the rooms but a fan is provided (or can be requested) to keep you comfortable. However, some rooms still feel stuffy, especially during warmer temperatures. According to reviews, the basement rooms are the worst, as they also lack decent windows to ventilate the space.
negative:
Walk Up
If you're arriving on foot or via public transport, be aware that the walk from the closest stop to the hotel is a bit of a steep uphill walk. Guests warn that this can be challenging for some, especially if you have heavy luggage.
negative:
Noise Complaints
Noise can be an issue due to the nearby street traffic, the Acensor da Gloria (Funicular), and the tram. Make sure to bring earplugs.
