Positive Reviews
positive:
Professional and helpful staff
One of the first things guests mentioned in their reviews was that the hotel’s staff were wonderful. While they were described as friendly, it seemed it was their helpfulness, especially when it came to special requests, that really impressed.
positive:
Spotlessly clean
Guest after guest mentioned in their reviews that their room was very clean when they checked in. The word “spectacular” was even used when speaking about the housekeeping staff, who clearly had many fans among the guests.
positive:
Decent value for money
Guests were pretty happy with the value for money they received during their stay. Many mentioned that the room rates were among the lowest they could find in the area and that that the accommodation and service offered for that low price led them to conclude they had received good value for money.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast a bit too basic
For many of the guests the breakfast was just a little too simple for their tastes. It was mentioned that it consisted almost entirely of carbohydrates like cereals and pastries and that diabetics, and those on low-carb diets for that matter, would have a very hard time finding something they could eat.
negative:
Décor out of date
This was a very common observation. A great many guests certainly noticed that the hotel’s décor was very out of date. A sizable number of those noticing didn’t really like the feeling of being in such and out of date place thought that the hotel ought to be refurbished.
negative:
Smell of smoke
Quite a few guests reported that their non-smoking room smelled distinctly of…smoke. Of course they were not too happy with this, with some cases being resolved by moving to another room. But of course this was not always possible.
