About Dreamhouse Aberdeen City North
Set in an exclusive residential development in North Aberdeen, Dreamhouse Aberdeen Apartments offers well furnished self catering apartments to business and leisure travellers.
The two and three bedroom apartments are set in a leading modern leading edge development and have trendy furniture and décor. All feature fully fitted kitchens, including washer dryers and dishwashers, flat screen TV’s with freeview channels, hairdryers and welcome amenity packs.
Dreamhouse Aberdeen is more an apartment rental than an aparthotel. There are few public facilities, but the agents who check you in can also offer ongoing assistance.
Those not self catering should ask the agents for good local dining recommendations. They will be happy to assist.
The apartments are popular with business guests, who will find downtown Aberdeen and the harbour less than three miles to the south. Aberdeen airport is about five miles to the north.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Very spacious apartments
Several guests who travelled with their families where very pleasantly surprised by how big the apartments were. They were described as more than big enough for the number of people listed, with family members not typically getting in each other's way (and hair) at every turn.
positive:
Apartments very clean
Although there were some opinions to the contrary, most guests were very happy with the cleanliness of their apartment on check-in. Also, guests mentioned that, unlike many apartment rentals, theirs was cleaned and serviced daily.
positive:
Apartments very well equipped
It was hard to find guests who were unhappy with the range equipment in their apartment. Most were more than happy, especially with the washer and dryer, which seemed a bit of a (pleasant) surprise to some.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Beds in serious need of replacement
While complaints about bed comfort are common place, and come down to personal taste, the complaints about the beds at Dreamhouse were a bit more severe than them merely being uncomfortable. They are sometimes described as not just worn, but worn out, with big valleys down the middle.
negative:
No lift
Unfortunately, guests report that the property, though very modern, doesn't have a lift. This could mean a trek up as much as three flights of stairs with heavy luggage to get to the apartment. Some guest found this a bit much.
negative:
Some problems at check-in
As is typical in agency driven apartment rentals some guests experienced problems when checking in. In some cases it was like ships passing in the night, with the agent and guests just missing each other when trying to hand over the keys. In others it was that the agents couldn't be contacted in order to arrange a time in the first place.
