All have traditional Balinese décor and furniture, and feature air conditioning, minibars, flat screen TV’s with satellite channels and telephones. Hotel Desamuda Village has an incredibly tranquil pool courtyard, set among lush tropical greenery. Massage and beauty treatments are available as in-room services. There is free parking on-site, and free Wi-Fi is also available on the property. The Rice Table Restaurant serves all three meals, and offers both traditional Indonesian dishes, as well as a selection of western favourites, so everyone can find something they like. The main attraction seems to be the resort itself, but Seminyak’s popular beach is about a mile from Hotel Desamuda Village. Bandar Udara Airport is about seven miles to the south.

    Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff

    Again and again reviewers mentioned how incredible the staff were during their visit. They are descried as very gracious and friendly, and always ready to help guests out in any way they could.

    Free transportation

    Several guests mentioned that the hotel puts on various free shuttles, to the beach and also to the airport. While the frequency is unknown guests definitely did appreciate the fact that they get around a bit without the hassle or cost of a taxi.

    Quiet and tranquil location

    Firstly, guests reported that the hotel was in a very peaceful and quiet neighbourhood, so they did not have any problem with external noise. Secondly, the hotels lush gardens significantly added to the sense of calm and peacefulness.

    Too far from the beach for some

    Desamuda Village is not right on the beach, but about a mile inland. To some guests this was just a bit far to be able to stroll there whenever one wished. Since many had had a beach holiday in mind when booking their trip, this was a little disappointing.

    While there were some guests who liked it, the majority didn't seem to think very highly of the breakfast offered. The reasons were not always given, but it seems it had something to do with small quantities and very limited variety.

    Unfortunately, like with most other hotels, a very large number of guests were unhappy with the quality of the Wi-Fi. They mentioned that the signal didn't reach many places, and that even when connected it was rather to slow.
