Rooms are relatively spacious

The Cameron Highlands is a fascinating region full of delightful attractions. Guests can visit tea plantations, jungle waterfalls and Buddhist temples, all within a short drive from De’ La Ferns.

Of course most guests were at the hotel in order to explore the Cameron Highlands. So they were quite delighted to discover that the property they were staying at afforded them great views of the surrounding hills. It made them feel part of the area they had come to see.
While the reviews were inevitably mixed, the overwhelming majority of guests seemed to really enjoy the food at the Ferns Restaurant. Specifically mentioned was that there was a good variety of both Malay and Western dishes available.
Guests report that there is a mosque near to the hotel that calls the faithful to prayer in the early morning using loudspeakers that are described as rather…loud. Guests who wish to sleep-in may be disappointed.
Though not often mentioned, some guests questioned why there was only one lift installed in a fairly large building. They felt that at peak times the wait for the lift to come was a bit too long.
As with most hotels, it seems, the Wi-Fi at De' La Ferns came in for a lot of criticism. The main criticism was simply that it was unreliable, and would regularly crash, leaving them with no connection.
