Conveniently located, the hotel is across the road from Main Beach and less than a minutes' walk from the boardwalk, a volleyball court and the local bowling alley. Downtown's shops, cafes and restaurants can be reached within 10-minutes' walk.

The rooms are simply furnished and include all the basics, including a fridge, microwave, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. A simple complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Guests also enjoyed use of the heated outdoor pool.

Smokey and dirty
Various complaints were made about the standard of cleanliness. Some guests complained that the rooms were stuffy and smelled unpleasant. Other guests found their rooms smelled of cigarette smoke although they had booked non-smoking rooms. The carpets were also reportedly dirty, and guests recommended you wear shoes or flip flops while inside the hotel. The bathrooms have been reported as dirty and insects are sometimes present in the rooms.

Poor customer service response to problems
Some guests described the staff as indifferent and unprofessional as reported problems were not always addressed adequately, if at all. Booking errors have also been known to happen, where guests were given a room other than the standard they booked. Hotel staff did not always rectify this or honor the original booking. Guests also advise that you check your credit card statements as mistakes on over charging have been made.

The hotel has minimal sound proofing and some guests had difficulty sleeping due to loud neighboring guests, including those who have parties until the early morning. Guests reported that staff did not intervene in these situations.
