The Central is a riverside hotel located close to the main line railway station and within a short walk of the main shopping area and other attractions in the centre of Norwich. There are 16 guest rooms with various conformations in the main hotel, many are en-suite and they are equipped with TV and tea/coffee making facilities, there are a further nine en-suite rooms in the Annex nearby, all well equipped. The Central has Wi-Fi Internet access and parking permits available (chargeable), and is a family friendly hotel, whose welcome extends to the family dog. The staff are able and willing to advise guests regarding places to go and things to do in and around Norwich. Breakfast is provided at the hotel, included in the appropriate price, and cafés, pubs and restaurants can be found in the city. The staff are efficient and friendly and undoubtedly prepared to go out of their way to help guests, and make their stay enjoyable. A solo female traveller was appreciative of the help received from them.
Full English breakfast is excellent value for money, and guests say that the hotel offers very good overall value for money. It was appreciated that it kept to its normal prices, unlike others, when there was an excess of demand owing to BBC Radio One's
Many of the guests commented that the road on which the Central Hotel is located is very busy. The rooms with a river view suffer from traffic noise, so for light sleepers it is recommended to ask for a room at the back.
