A high rise hotel that has a number of facilities, Caserio overlooks the coast. The hotel's rooftop terrace provides guests with a breathtaking 360 degree vista of the surrounding area. In Playa de Ingles, and the Kasbah and Yumbo shopping centres are within walking distance, while Maspalomas Beach and golf course are less than 3 miles away. Standard twin rooms have a balcony, mini-bar, en-suite and satellite TV. Wi-Fi is available, but guests have to pay a surcharge. With 170 rooms, Caserio provides guests with an outdoor adult and children's swimming pool, a sauna, fitness centre and massage treatment room, and an arcade game area. When it comes to leisure and entertainment the guests of the hotel were extremely well catered for. The pool and gym were very popular with the guests as well as the roof-top terrace with its spectacular sea views. In the evenings guests did not have to worry about going anywhere as the hotel had its own entertainment programme which many thoroughly enjoyed.
The hotel is situated 5-minutes from the beach and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Guests appreciated having a supermarket as well as numerous bars within walking distance.
Guests were very complimentary about the staff of the hotel who were all described as friendly and focused on making the guests feel welcome and well looked after. Those who had issues or requests said that they were quickly and effectively resolved.
Although the hotel advertises free Wi-Fi in the guest rooms, many were disappointed to find that they could not connect to the internet. Guests who wanted to connect via the Wi-Fi said that they only managed to do so close to the reception area.
Some guests complained that they did not have plenty of choice when it came to the evening meal. Those who stayed at the hotel longer than a few days found the food on offer at dinner very repetitive and many objected having to eat the same food on a number of occasions.
The hotel is close to a main road and some guests whose rooms looked out onto the street complained about the traffic noise which prevented them from having a peaceful night’s sleep.
