Positive Reviews
positive:
Gorgeous views over the Med
This was undoubtedly what most impressed guests about El Encinar. Some felt their stay was worth it, just because they could gaze over Mallorca's rugged north shore. To them, it didn't seem that they were actually on one of the most popular islands in the Mediterranean.
positive:
Peaceful and tranquil atmosphere
The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful spot, some distance from the nearest town. Together with the lovely gardens of the hotel itself, guests felt this created the kind of tranquil atmosphere that helped them revive and recharge.
positive:
Very spacious rooms
Whatever other small problems guests had with their rooms, their size certainly wasn't one of them. Several described being very pleasantly surprised by just how large they were, more than big enough for the size of their party.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A bit too remote for some
The hotel is described as quite far from the nearest town, Valldemossa. As a result, guests mentioned that a car is a must, unless you want to feel fairly isolated and pay a fortune on taxi fares.
negative:
Five stories, no lift
While not necessarily complaining, several guests pointed out that there was no lift in the hotel. Considering that in is five stories high, that might mean quite a bit of stair climbing during a stay, including with luggage.
negative:
Confusion over “apartementos”
Some guests felt the “apartementos” designation was misleading since many of the rooms have no kitchen at all. But in any event, some guests who did have a kitchen felt that it was poorly equipped, only enabling them to make the simplest of meals.
