Ideal location for business and leisure.
A conference center in its own right, this hotel is also located within striking distance of the convention and events center at Rabobank Arena, so it's ideal if you're visiting for business. At the same time, it's a family-friendly place, set up for fun and games with the pool area onsite, and outdoor activities nearby.
positive:
Great facilities to enjoy.
At this hotel, you can spend the morning breaking a sweat at the gym, the afternoon lounging by the pool, and the evening sipping sophisticated cocktails in the bar. There are so many facilities to take advantage of, you'll never be bored. Plus, there are practical things, like free airport transfers.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Close to the train tracks.
The hotel is located right beside the train tracks which run through Bakersfield, and some guests, particularly those in south-facing rooms, have reported some noise issues from passing trains at night. If you think it will be an issue, you can request a quiet room.
negative:
Some amenities lacking.
While guests are generally satisfied with the rooms, some have noted that they lack a few standard amenities, such as mini-fridges and vanity mirrors in the bedroom. There's nothing to affect your stay in a big way, but for a hotel of this standard, these minor things could be easily added.
negative:
It could do with a lick of paint.
In some places, it seems that this large hotel is beginning to show signs of wear and tear, and areas of it are in need of updating. Most of the issues are cosmetic, and could be easily rectified with a lick of paint or an update of the soft furnishings.
