Situated approximately 900 yards’ from the beach, Apartamentos Los Tilos is a cheerful apart-hotel offering simple self catering accommodation and an expansive pool terrace Each apartment features a simple lounge with TV (extra fee), in-room safe, comfortable seating, a small kitchen and a separate bedroom. They also have private terraces or balconies and can accommodate up to four people. The six buildings are set around a lovely garden and large pool terrace, which has all the sun beds and other amenities you’d expect. There’s a restaurant onsite where guests can enjoy meals, on the terrace if the weather plays along. There’s also a bar with pool tables and other games. Apartementos Apartamentos Los Tilos is right opposite Playa del Ingles’ popular Yumbo Centre, where you’ll find a great selection of shopping, cafes, bars and other nightlife. Those with a car rental and an interest in (dormant) volcanoes should not miss the spectacular Caldera de Bandama, 34 miles to the north.
An incredible number of guests mentioned really liking the proximity to the Yumbo Centre. This property was described as a very popular centre that contained a decent range of shops restaurants and bars. Guests were happy that they didn't need to travel far for good dining and some decent nightlife. The beach was also said to be within walking distance.
The overwhelming majority of guests were very happy with the value for money they received during their stay, citing the reasonable room rates and great central location as the main reasons.
There's no doubt that it was the pool that was guests' favourite onsite amenity. Again and again they would comment that it was especially large, so not crowded, and that it offered a welcome respite from the mid summer heat.
Guests were clearly not impressed that there was no free Wi-Fi available, either in the rooms or the public areas of the complex. While paid Wi-Fi was available, the general feeling seemed to be that in this day and age it should have been included in the room rate.
Several guests reported that a number of cats seem to live on or near the property. While some liked them, those with allergies, or those who simply didn't like cats, didn't really appreciate their presence.
Quite a large number of guests reported that the cleaning really could be improved. Many were not happy with the state of their apartment, either at check in or after it had been cleaned during their stay. They felt cleaning was extremely slapdash.
